Rose-vel is a soft pink base with green and pink reflective glitter and blue-purple shimmers.

Rose-vel was a medicinal preparation used to treat skin irritations and blemishes, chapped hands, face and lips, sunburn, windburn, sores, cuts, burns, and other skin troubles. It was marketed as a universal remedy, gentle enough for daily use and especially associated with women’s care and appearance.

Even when medicines served practical purposes, they were often framed through expectations of femininity. Products like Rose-vel were presented as part of maintaining soft, smooth, unblemished skin. The responsibility of appearing cared for, delicate, and presentable was placed heavily on women. Care became expectation. This polish reflects that hyper feminine presentation.
